Mars Rock

Martian Meteorite Fragment The surface of Mars is constantly hit by meteorites, asteroids, and other space debris. With slight atmosphere and weak gravity these impacts eject pieces of Mars' surface into space where they travel for millions of years, some orbiting the sun until they are captured by the earth's gravity and crash to the earth as a meteorite.

Moon Rock

Unlike the moon rock specimens brought back by Apollo astronauts, which are government property, it is legal to own this specimen.

The lunar surface is constantly bombarded by meteorites. With no atmosphere and little gravity, impacts of these meteorites eject rock from the lunar surface into space and they are captured by earth's gravity.
