A Piece of the Sky — Authentic Campo del Cielo Iron Meteorite

Hold a piece of history that fell from the heavens over 4,000 years ago. This Select X-Large Campo del Cielo meteorite is a museum-quality iron meteorite specimen weighing an impressive 768.8 grams (4.5"), sourced from one of the most celebrated meteorite strewn fields in the world.

About Campo del Cielo Discovered in 1571 in the Gran Chaco region of Argentina — meaning "Field of Sky"— these meteorites fell 4,000–6,000 years ago and were witnessed by indigenous peoples. Twelve large impact craters have been found, and the largest specimen weighs 30 tons, making it one of Argentina's national treasures.

What Makes This Specimen Special This is a "new Campo" find — recovered from a mountainside away from the original strewn field, making it far more stable than earlier finds submerged in damp soil.

  • Classification: Group IA Iron Meteorite — Coarse Octahedrite
